Grizzly mother & cubs

Three grizzlies at the water's edge — a sow and her two cubs working a coastal inlet at low tide. The cubs are young, still carrying their pale, soft coats, already learning the rhythms of the shore. The sow stays close. Watchful. Her reflection holds steady in the calm below.

This is British Columbia's coast — rugged, layered, alive. The rocks run dark with kelp. Yellow flowers push through the shoreline grass. The bears move through it all as if the margin between land and water belongs entirely to them.

It does.
